Allison Carlisle, LCMHCA
Allison Carlisle graduated from the beloved Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Education (K-12) and a minor in Music. After several years of teaching children of various ages and settings, she obtained her Master's degree in School Counseling from Liberty University. Now that Allison has broadened her horizons to the counseling world as a School Counselor, she has discovered a true interest in a deeper approach to people's healing and wellness.
As a person who loves people of all ages, Allison consistently discovers the passion she has for relational health, repair, communication, friendship, and ultimately, love. While she has developed a particular interest in couples counseling, she believes that working with couples, individuals, and families would render a positive impact on the community.
Allison has received training in and utilizes techniques from The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also a person of Christian faith and can speak Spanish, and upon request can incorporate spirituality and/or Spanish in her sessions. She aspires to see her clients overcoming obstacles and to help spread lasting hope, love, and peace to all she sees. Allison looks forward to working with you!
