Sophia Nielsen, Marriage and Family Therapy Student Counselor
Sophia Nielsen, a graduate student intern, is currently pursuing her second master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Northcentral University. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Albion College and a Master of Arts in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Ball State University. Sophie has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst for over six years, dedicating her life to neurodiversity. She currently serves as the Director of Quality Assurance at a behavior clinic, working with autistic children aged 2 to 8. Sophie has a history of working with children, teens, and young adults, as well as their families, ranging from ages 2 to 22, across multiple races and ethnicities. Her passion lies in providing quality care, engaging parents, and creating resources for the autistic community as they navigate various stages of life. Sophie’s goal is to establish her own therapeutic practice, incorporating cognitive behavioral techniques, to support neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families in reaching their highest potential and improving their quality of life.
