Jack, LCMHCA

I believe that suffering is optional.

It is the water we swim in but we can choose not to attach to it.

Pain, however, is not negotiable.

There will be events and other people that knock us off our feet. Therapy

is where we are able to replay those moments that wounded us.

Therapy happens in a safe space.

A good therapist shows us the big picture so that we can accept what

happened and move forward with courage and an action plan.

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor at the associate level.

This is my second career after a life in art that taught me some things

about human motivation, emotions, and conflict.

Anxiety is a separation from our values that ignites a fear of the future.

Depression is being trapped in habitual suffering fueled by a shame of

the past.

Substance abuse and addictive behaviors are an attempt to fill a void, a

hole carved by trauma.

These issues and more are what I will help you illuminate as you redraw

the map of your Self through the partnership of therapy.

Jack holds a masters in counseling from Wake Forest University and is a

therapist at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health in Winston-Salem. He is

available for telehealth, house calls, and walk & talk appointments

including with his therapy dog, Betty.
